My GE #WJRE555H1WW won’t spin. I have done the reset multiple times…always worked in the past…but it did not work this time. I can hear it trying to spin but it doesn’t really move.
I took the front off the washer to look at motor indicator light and it is a steady blinking light.
I inspected the belt it appears to be fine and the motor and tub turn just fine by hand.
I then started the spin cycle with the front off to observe. The indicator light continued to blink steadily and the motor seemed to be trying to turn…but instead of spinning in one direction it was doing a quick little back and forth 1/20th rotation in each direction.
Any thoughts on further trouble shooting or is my motor shot?
