GE washer won't advance

The Washer starts to fill, starts a slow spin, the motor runs, the pulley spins but won’t advance to next cycle. The Load Size Switch was stripped (knob would just turn freely). I was able to adjust without the knob but the washer still won’t advance. I blew air into the tube leading from the level control and washer advanced to the next cycle. Once I stopped blowing air, the washer returns to fill cycle.
