GE Washer Won't Spin/No flashing light

My GE washer model WCSR4170G0WW will fill and drain correctly, but won’t spin or agitate. I’ve already search this forum and have found several things that I have tried.

I’ve tried resetting the washer by unplugging it for 1 minute and opening/closing the lid 6+ times.

I’ve checked the fuse by checking the continuity by both the motor plug method and by cutting out the fuse portion of the wire as well.

I’ve checked the continuity of the lid switch and have tried bypassing that as well.

The one thing that I am stuck on is the motor error codes. I have never seen the light flash at all. I was under the impression that this is due to a bad fuse, but that seems to be working fine.

Does anyone know if a bad motor or inverter board would cause the diagnostic light not to flash at all? Anyone else have any ideas that I have over looked or anything else that may help me out?

It may be that you are experiencing the weak link in an electronics diagnosis system, mainly that if the diagnostics are broken how does it diagnose itself?

I can only suggest changing out the motor/inverter and seeing if that fixes things. If you buy from this site (no, we who respond are not associated with APP) and it does not fix your problem you can return it. See the returns policy for conditions.
