Hello,
Gentle/Slow cycle… tub fills. Motor tries to start agitation but just clicks loudly trying to start but won’t. On Normal/Slow cycle… tub fills. Motor starts OK agitation wash OK, drains OK but when calling for spin. Motor won’t start. Clicks loudly and attempt to start but won’t get going. ON Normal/Fast setting every thing works like it should. Problem seems isolated to Gentle and slow spin functions.
I am going to order 4 rubber tub torque straps that I discovered are broke when I pulled the front cover off. These are no problem to replace but if I am looking at significantly costlier ordeal given my main problem a new machine may be in order. In general though washer is in good shape for it’s age. Look forward to your reply. Thanks
sounds like you need a motor+clutch assembly, replacement #ap3160670
Hi Dave,
There are not much on-line information for this microwave. If you can find (usually it’s behind the top grille) an envelope with tech sheets and the wiring diagram and post it here, we might help you better.
Gene.
Dave,
There are a few more parts which can cause such problem and we really need the wiring diagram and/or schematic. You can Kinkos copy center to scan this diagram and then upload it here.
Gene.
Kelly,
Did you determine why the damper door that swings to cover the light bulb while microwaving opens up after a couple bounces? I have the same problem on our 9 year old SCA2001BSS03.
Jack
Update 3/29/09. The magnetron was at fault on our SCA2001BSS03.
BTW…the bouncing damper door when the oven initiates the microwave sequence is proper, i.e., "They all do that."
I also have a GE Advantioum Model SCA2000. Every thing works ok but there is no microwave action. I read the forum but no repair suggestion jet. Can someone update this forum with a solution. Thank you.

The solution on my unit was the door interlock switch - check the center switch. It has a noticable larger white wire and switch appears scorched at the connection. The replacement switch has a larger current rating. Hope this helps.

Thank you kelly for your response, by any chance do you have a appliance part number. I look under model No. SCA2000BBB03 but no part listed.
Thank you.

I looked on my history and found AP2622452 (GE no.WB24X10047). I think it’s about $12.

I defer to Gene - he’s the pro.
My best, Kelly
Kelly,
Thank you for your good words.
Gene.
Thanks guys this was so helpful, I read your posts and found that after checking all my switches one had infinity reading. I remove the switch and took it apart cleaned the contacts and rechecked it. It had a value of 0.00 ohms Ya reinstalled the switch and back to micro again
Thanks again guys
