Hello,
I have a Kenmore HE5t, model number 110.47087600, and I am recently getting an error code of F11. Using the code sheet that came with the washer, it says the MCU is possibly bad. I did some more research, and found that this is probably the problem. Before I spend the money for the MCU board, is there any other possible errors that it could be to give me this code? I was given that the part number for my model is AP3968080, but was also told to ask in the technical forum for other questions regarding this. Is there a diagram to show exactly how to change this? I found the board in the bottom left side of the washer. Any help would be great with this. Thanks for any help.
This is a later version of a Whirlpool Duet washer. You are correct to be sceptical of the error message, as it can be a problem with the MCU, main control board, door lock assembly or the wiring between these components. The MCU is the likely problem, but not the certain problem.
Unfortunately all you can do is change out the component and see if that fixes things. If you order from this site and the part does not repair the problem you can return it for a refund under certain conditons. See the returns policy for details.
Here is a service manual for an earlier version of your machine which should be close enough to your version to help you make the repair.
Good luck.

Thank you for your time in answering me. That is the first thing I am doing. I have an MCU ordered, and plan on receiving it today. If that doesnt work then I am going to check the connectivity of all the wires. Lets hope it will be an easy fix.
Great, let us know how things turn out.
