How do I get the service panel off?

I need to get the rear service panel off to replace the heating element, but there is a piece coming down from the back of the control panel which prevents this. What do I have to remove to get the service panel off?
The back of my dryer doesn’t look like the picture in my repair manual.

On your model you don’t. You remove the bottom service panel by inserting a screw driver in the gap between it and the upper front panel to release clips that hold it on. You take off the top by taking out the screws that hold the console on and flipping it up and then the three screws that hold the top down.

You can now get the upper front panel off, release the belt, take out the drum and get to the heating element which is on the lower right hand side inside the cabinet.

Clean everything out good while you are in there.
