I bought the dryer 6 yrs ago…replaced the brains 3 yrs ago…now I have not heat…bought a new heat coil and can’t get the bottom panel off…I’ve pushed it up and down and used a long screwdriver to release the sides…NOTHING…please help! It’s been weeks!
Here is the trick. Get a putty knife, and on the top part of the bottom panel, about 5 inches in on the left side is a clip. Push the putty knife inside the clip, and it will release the front on that side. Do the same on the other side. Also when you replace the element, there is a 1/4 inch screw between the two element terminal, that also holds the element in place. When you pull the old element out, hold on to the tube that the elemnt slides into with the other hand. Use a pliers to pull the old one out. It is hard sometimes to pull out. Tom
Tom…absolutely perfect!!! Thank you…Now the old coil doesn’t want to come out…I see a clamp on the right half way back…how do you suggest I get back there to pinch it?
I usually grab the metal part with a pliers, and be sure you take out the 1/4 inch screw out in between the the two element terminals. Pull hard, and you will have it. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com
k…just not sure I have pliers that long…already removed the screw…I’ll try it…thanks
Come on, I know you can do it. Tom applianceeducator.com

Oven works great for food that needs 30 minutes or less. Any food that takes longer doesn’t get done for 2 to 4 times as long.
I start my washer and allow it to fill with water. If I close the lid before the fill cycle ends, it will stop. I have to let the fill cycle complete before closing the lid. Once the fill cycle is complete, I close the lid, and it will continue on the the next cycle. Any ideas???
I am going to suggest you replace the lid switch, even though your symptoms do not suggest that as the problem, because the lid switch and its wiring are the only things that change when you open and close the lid, and it is not an expensive part.

Can I take this panel off to clean the lint? OR is there no way lint can be behind that panel? I was trying to clean out all the lint where the filter goes and thought I should clean behind that panel but couldn’t get it off…your instructions will help but I want to make sure there is a need first, so could there be lint behind that panel? Thx Lee

The only way you can clean the dryer is from the front. The back does not come off. Tom http://www.applianceeducator.com
