I have a GE side by side with ice and water dispenser in the door. When you press the button to get ice, nothing happens. I removed the ice bucket, pressed the light switch in and pressed the switch on the dispenser–nothing happens. All you can hear in a humming sound. You can turn the motor shaft freely with your hand. Does the auger drive motor need replacing? Also, I tried to get ice from it today. It gave ice for 2 glasses, but the ice was crushed instead of cubed even though cube ice was selected. After the second glass it stopped working on either selection again.
