Jenn-Air Electronic control pad

Four years after I purchased my Jenn-Air gas range it began displaying the F1 fault code. The range would not work and sometimes the temp would be off 100 degrees. I was able to reset the control panel for a few years but then it was unable to reset (unplug unit for a few minutes, per instruction manual). This is a single unit w/clock. I replaced the control touch pad unit, very simple and straight forward. This new unit $170.00 worked for two weeks, five of six uses, then began dispalying the F1 code, would reset and temp was off 100 degrees had to unplug to reset then it would work. Then it would not reset and I contacted my supplier and they sent me e new one overnite. The new one worked once then started the F1 fault codes again. Sometimes the F1 code would display five minutes after the oven was turned off!! I contacted Jenn-Air and they said I should get the new controller from them, I asked if it was the same manufacturers, and they said most likely. So what do I do keep replacing control pads until I get a good one or is there some sort of fix I can provide to keep the heat away from electronic controller as it is directly above the oven vent? Thanks, Greg
