Jenn-Air Gas Range F3 Error - Sensor appears fine

Hi,

I hope I’m not repeating a topic, but I couldn’t find any solutions that were able to guide me.

I have had the F3 error code pop up on my Jenn-Air FCG20610 gas range whenever I use the bake/broil setting. The error occurs at varying lengths of time, sometimes before reaching desired temperature and sometimes after (although I haven’t used a thermometer to confirm the temperature. I hear the beep that signals desired temperature has been reached).

So after doing some research, I learned and was able to remove the oven sensor and measure its resistance. It was at about 1069 Ohms. A lot of resources stated that the benchmark is generally between 1000-1100 Ohms so I don’t think my sensor is the problem.

Now according to this thread: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/188077-jenn-air-electric-range-code-f3.html

Gene suggests checking the sensor wire harness to the control board or replacing the control board altogether. I’ve looked around but I couldn’t find any videos or tutorials on how I could go about doing these two steps.

Could someone kindly let me know if these are the correct next steps, and if so, could you provide some guidance?

Thanks and much appreciated,

Simon
