HI,
I have an intermittent problem, when I open the door the fuse blows. I checked the 3 door switches they all looks OK, but this being intermittent I must have one bad.
Question : Which switch can cause the fuse to blow ?
HI,

It would be your monitor switch WB24x830 is the part#, it is the middle switch on the latch bracket.
Monitor Door Switch Test:
Door Closed – Infinite Ohms
Door Open – 0 Ohms
3. Reconnect switch wiring.
4. Check fuse (15 or 20 Amp) for continuity and proper size. If needed replace fuse. 15 Amp
use WB27X0007. 20 Amp use WB27X3910.
5. Test Circuit Operation:
WARNING! When (15 or 20 Amp) fuse is blown due to operation of the monitor
switch, the monitor switch must be replaced. Also replace relays and/or
interlock switches when continuity check shows contacts shorted.

Thanks abadfish66,
I checked the switches, they all work (with my ohmmeter)… it’s intermittent. Just to be sure, is it the switch under the Lever - switch lower ? Or the other one that get actuated directly by the door latch. Would you have the color of the wire by any chance ?
The middle switch, 2 black wires on one terminal 1 white wire on the other terminal
Hi,
Problem: My oven will not work. Stovetop burners work fine however. Typical attempts to pre-heat/turn on oven trigger only the "clicking" sound, but no ignition. No heat, no gas emissions either.
Before purchase, I’d like to ensure I need replacement part: "Oven bake
burner with spark igniter" (Part #: AP3598752) and not any other.

Thanks!

This kitchenaid range has given good service for about 8 years. Now the oven will not heat. I can hear the normal clicking sound when the controls are touched. The heat element that is exposed in the oven doesn’t look any different. The cooktop is operating normally. Is it likely the heating element or some other component? Thanks for your help.
