This is a generic Korean-made oven and seems to be nicely made. It blows fuses when opening the door – and only at that time. Started out intermittent but now seems to be a "hard" condition, at least till I took it all apart.
From other posts I see, I should suspect a door interlock or monitor switch problem. So I took the switches out, tested them (perfect) and then opened each one to see what’s inside. Found the two interlock switches to have perfect contacts. The one that I believe is the monitor switch has some signs of arcing but not bad at all. Nothing burnt or anything.
Examined the switch actuating cams (for lack of the proper word) and they are in good shape and are free. Fingers on door seem fine and downspring tension seems good, but if there was some distortion I don’t know how you could tell, but there’s no visible alignment problem.
Am I trying to climb the wrong tree?
Thanks very much for any help!
