Kenmore bake element

Hi! I have an old Kenmore oven/range. The bake element has broken—literally broken apart. I can’t find the model number anywhere. I’ve checked on the door, in the oven, under the range top, and in the drawer underneath. The only sticker is a warning sticker, but there are no numbers on it, except at the very bottom—PLT083-2. I’ve looked up bake elements on the web, and at this url is a matching one: http://www.************************.com/Kenmore-Range-Stove-Oven-Parts. It’s the third one down. Would this one work, or is the voltage and wattage going to cause a problem? I don’t want to blow up the house, or the oven, and I don’t want to pay for a repairman for a simple repair. Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, again. I noticed the url didn’t post, so the web site was ************************. com. Thanks.

Hi! I’ve found the model number. It’s—911.9344190. The serial number is—4R227800. Thanks.

This should be the correct element

Remove power from the unit.
This is very important as many stoves still have 120 volts at the element even with the oven turned off.
Undo the screw holding the element to the back of the oven.
Gently pull the element into the oven.
Remove the wires/connectors from the element.
It is a good idea to clip something to the wires (Clothespin etc.) so they do not disappear into the back of the oven before you get the new element installed.

Thanks for the response. I’ll order the part today. Thanks again.
