Kenmore does not agitate, spin and drain

Our Kenmore 80 Series (Model 110.24872300) fills but does not agitate, spin or drain. I have not noticed any noises as mentioned in another post.

Recently, we had problems closing the lid because the cover was misaligned and it wouldn’t agitate. However, this time I was able to close the lid and heard the "click" but the problem still persisted. I also tried pressing down the lid switch with a screw driver but it didn’t work.

Thanks for asking. Yes, it seems to be. I initially had it set to normal speed at ultra clean. Nothing happens when I turn the knobs to different settings.

If the motor is cold, you either have a bad timer, or a blown motor thermal cutout.
You have a Kingston type timer that is rather reliable, so I would lean toward a bad motor cutout.
