I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher # KUDS01FKSS0. I am able to press cancel and the machine drains but the other cycles do not work. The lights on the display do not light up either.Any thoughts

Hi Mike,
Open the control panel, remove the ribbon cable and check all connections using a magnifier. Clean them using a rubbing alcohol. Make sure everything is dry before you put it back together. If it would not help then the user interface board has to be replaced. There is a small chance for the main control board to be bad as well.
