Haven’t had ice in almost a year and figured it’s time to get this fixed with summer now approaching. Ice maker simply doesn’t fill with water. Water dispenser works fine. Push infrared switch to the closed postion and the red light stays on without blinking.
I switched the wires on the two solenoids under the fridge to test them. When I push the water dispenser paddle down, water fills the ice tray, so I know the tube is not frozen. Someone told me to change that solenoid out, and of course, I still have the same problem.
We’ve got relatives coming to visit in two weeks and they use a lot of ice! Please help! New ice maker unit? Control board? Seems the solenoid that sends water to the ice maker is not getting the message.
What’s wrong and how do I fix it?
