Leaky door

Water leaks from the bottom of the door. Initially thought the worn door gasket was the problem, which I replaced. Still leakes profusely. I took off the inner door panel and see that there is evidence of leaking through a silicone gasket that surrounds the soap dispenser latch. I took it off and it tore so regardless of it being the source, it now needs replacing. Are there any other things I should look for?

Check the float to make sure there’s nothing causing it to stick in the up position. Check the float switch to make sure it opens when float is up. Also check the water jets in the spray arms to make sure they’re not partially clogged. You don’t want water ricocheting toward the door.

Thanks for the reply. The float does travel up and down freely. How do I check the float switch? I will check the water jets but if I’m not mistaken, water has always blasted and bounced and splattered all over the interior of the box. There is no way it can’t ricochet. That’s how it washes the soap out of the tray, I thought. I will take a look for anything amiss there.

You should be able to access the float switch by removing the toe panel (two to four screws). Just look under the area where the float is in the tub. To test it, remove at least one of the were connectors that go to it. With the float in the down position, you should see continuity (no resistance[with your meter set on the lowest ohms scale]). Lift the float and the switch should open. You’ll see infinite resistance on your meter (no continuity). If you get anything different, replace the switch.
