The washer has developed an issue that seems to be uncontrollable. When first purchased if the wash load was not evenly distributed the spin cycle speed would be reduced to compensate for the out of balance condition.
Now the machine will spool up during the spin cycle and if the wash load is not evenly distributed the drum bangs the cabinet with such force the washer "walks" across the floor. No more gradual increase in speed.
I have checked to ensure the machine is level side to side and front to back a number of times with no avail.
I can only suggest you operate it with the front panel off and see if you can determine the source of the problem. It sounds like something is busted in the support structure, and hopefully you can see the problem when it is running.
Have run machine with the front panel removed. Nothing appears to be broken.
Upon start of spin cycle the tub/transmission assy seemed to be "stuck" in their normal resting position. Then all of a sudden the same assembly started "swinging" around inside the cabinet until such time the outer tub hit the cabinet. I stopped the machine, redistributed the load and upon restart the tub spooled up and everything was fine. The tub assy was moving inside the cabinet but not to the extent as before.
The manual states, "The washer is designed to reduce spin speed if an unbalanced load is detected". I have not noticed any change is spin speed. the clothes come out nearly dry.
Anyone know how an "unbalance load" is detected and what drives the change in speed?

I am out of town right now and don’t have access to the manual on this machine but it sounds like you got it going ok.
Keep running it with the cabinet off so you can monitor it, but if it is doing what you describe there is either something structurally wrong or you just are having hugely unbalanced loads that should not continue.

Any ideas on what is causing the tub assy to "stick" in the resting position? It seems to me this may be contributing to the issue. The dynamic out of balance condition seems to cause the tub assy to break free from the stuck position, then the banging starts.
