Maytag dryer not heating

Maytag dryer made in 1985 and in excellent condition is not heating. It runs but only blows cool air.

Any suggestion as to what might be wrong? I alrready checked for lint back-up.

See if [AP4037135](http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/whirlpool-heater-assembly-complete-item-number-ap4290655.aspx"]AP4290655[/URL] is open, if it is, replace it. same thing with [URL="http://www.appliancepartspros.com/Appliance-Parts/whirlpool-cut-off--t-item-number-ap4037135.aspx) , if yours has it.
