Dryer stopped working after power surge
No lights on control panel
Purchased new encoder & control board
Installed encoder no change Installed new board all lights working
Turned dryer on & it runs for about 20 seconds the lights on timer blink twice
You can push start & it runs 20 seconds & stops again
Any suggestions on checking further or could there be a problem with limit switch or new board

There is a set of diagnostics built into the control board, but I cannot link you to the tech info as Maytag no longer makes that available. See if there are tech notes under the console or inside the cabinet, and if not see if Maytag can get them to you, which they should since you paid for their machine.
