Everything was fine and then panel on front started flashing all lights and ice dispencer door was flapping. We unplugged the top right plug to disconnect the panel. Called Maytag and they sent A&E appliance reapir out. Apparently they ordered a part and were supposed to come back this week to replace the high voltage control panel. This was going to be free of charge since it is a common, well known problem. I get a call yesterday that the part is on backorder until February 14th, 2 months away! Everything was running fine for the past 10 days and then I heard a clicking from the back and noticed that the compressor was not cycling/turning on. Is the compressor controlled by the HV Control panel as well? I now have all of my food in coolers and the refridgerator unplugged. Do I wait till Feb for the part or is it possibly something else that is going to cost more money? Do I buy a new refrigerator? This is only 5 years old and was over $2000!
