Maytag Neptune

My Neptune dryer has started making an intermittant squeaking/squeeling noise. I have looked at your model parts list and think that likely this noise is coming from either the drum roller assemblies or a bearing idler assembly. In the Maytag book attached to another question thread, it appears their is a Maytag oil that is specified. I need to know if these items can be oiled/greased or if new parts are required. If the drum rollers need to be replaced which specific parts do I oreder and the same for the bearing item assembly. Please help me isolate the method to proceed.

The inside of the dryer is not a good place to have grease or oil. Over some time, the ling will just gum up with te oil and cause the problem to be worse. If the noise you hear is high pitched, chances are it’s the idler.[part]AP4373393[/part] If it’s more like a low rumble, the rollers probably need to be replaced[part]AP4008534[/part], or the blower wheel is loose on the motor shaft[part]AP4043082[/part]. A scraping, or squealing sound would indicate the front bearings (nylon glides)[part]AP4037304[/part].

I read through your response and ordered parts which most fit the probable issue. I will let you know after I install the parts if I bought the right parts. Thanks again for your response and pictures which help a lot.
