My model mav7600aww has a lack of cold water. It will only run on the hot cycle but even then when it gets to the rinse (rinse being cold water) nothing. Ruled out water inlet valve and timer. only left with temp switch or temperature control board. Right?
Hi SGlucky
I know you say you ruled out the inlet valve, but can you tell us how you did that? The reason I ask is that the inlet valve is my major suspect, and I think you want to make very certain that is not the problem, because the other suspects are a lot more costly.
A good way to do this is to switch the electrical connections at the inlet valves, and then set the machine to cold water and see if it fills. If it does, then your inlet valve is the problem (of course if you have already done this type of test, never mind).
Anyway, post back and if we rule out the inlet valves we can take a look at the literature and see what else we can come up with.
Good luck.
Your suggestion were my exact thoughts. I inspected all wiring and connections. And i have already replaced the timer still no joy. So like your suggestions i moved my attention to control board. Part has just not arrived yet. I am here just trying to avoid missing something.
Hi SG(un)lucky
Ok, you have eliminated the most likely problem (inlet valves) and the most costly problem (timer), so the control board is next.
Actually, you are fortunate in that the cost of these components is lower than on most machines, and at the end of this process you will have a good working knowledge of your machine and it should be fixed for a long time.
Thanks for updating us, and let us know how the board fix works out. There are a lot of viewers looking at this and I am sure your repair work has helped others.
I have satisfaction. The culprit was the anolog temparture control board. Thanks for all your help sidfink43.
Great, glad you got it fixed, and your perseverance was amazing.
Thanks also for updating us, that is very helpful to myself and to the many people who also viewed these postings.
