Maytag Refrigerator Front Dispenser Ice/Water Not working

I have a Maytag Refrigerator (Model number MFI2569VEM) and about a month ago, my front ice/water dispenser began acting up. Sometimes you would hit the front water/ice button (the one your cup hits) and nothing happens and if you pressed it again a 2 seconds later it would work. The ice maker is still making ice (we empty it into a tray in the lower draw as a work around so I know water is flowing. I was due to replace the water filter and replaced it first but it didn’t make a difference.

I’ve taken apart the front dispenser and tested the switch (using a multi meter) and it consistently showed it makes a connection when pressed. I’ve also, checked the solenoid in the back upper second of the fridge and they also passed a simple loop test.
I suspected it might be the door open button but I’ve pressed it and confirmed I see the fridge light come on/off and in either position nothing happens when I press the ice/water button. The one odd thing I noticed was if I press the door button and hold down the ice dispenser button and let go of the door button again, I hear the warning beep and sometimes the ice door motor will make noise and open.

I’m at a lost to figure out what is wrong. Of course the ice/water worked for about 10 minutes this morning then stopped again.
Anymore test I should do? What part(s) do you think I need to replace?

Thanks,
Kirby
