Using the delicates cycle the machine goes through all the cycles. Using the Colors or White cycles the machine fills and agitates, but doesn’t spin or drain. The dial continues to rotate, the machine stops agitating until the dial rotates into the rinse, then it starts agitating again but never spins or drains accept in the delicate cycle.
Since it works in one setting that suggests that there is nothing mechanically wrong with the machine and that the problem is with the timer.
