No bake/broil

I am just moving into this house and the oven does not work. The burners up top work, but when I turned the oven on 400 degrees, nothing happened. I didn’t think to test the broil, I just freaked out!!! I need to know what could be causing this problem and how I could fix it. The goal is to try and avoid buying a new stove if I can. Ovens/stoves are not my area, so if you could explain in "dumby" terms I would greatly appreciate it!!!

If your bake & broil elements don’t look chared anywhere it is probably your control board. part number AP3672811 @ $124.74 from here.
May be worth while to have a technitian check it out for certain. If you just bought the house and it didn’t come with a home warranty you can buy a home warranty to cover your appliances, ch/a, etc.
