No Power To Igniter

The burner wouldn’t light so I suspected the igniter since it wasn’t glowing. I tested it with an ohmeter and got a reading of 191 on the 200 ohm scale. While I was there I stuck the probes in the power end of the plug, turned the dryer on and got no voltage reading. I was told the power to the igniter could be controlled by the coils on the burner valve, replaced them and still show no voltage to the igniter. Any ideas?

Even though I am still waiting any response to a similar problem I had here, what I discovered was that the Thermal Device on the back side of the dryer was bad. If you can locate that, check it for continuity, if open, try using a jumper wire across the leads, and see it will run for you. That’s what I did, replaced it, and runs fine.

As you can see, I too have not received any replies other than yours. I finally got time to pull the back off the dryer and test the fuse and it is bad. I jumped it as you suggested and it did work! I’ve ordered a new fuse. THANKS!!!
