not finishing washing cycle

Our machine will not finish a wash cycle. It will stop 3 or 4 times per cycle. If I advance the timer knob a bit and hit start it will run a bit and then stop. I replaced the timer control and it didn’t fix the problem.

Anyone have any ideas on which direction to go?

I would suggest you replace the entire door lock assembly, which is a good idea for this machine even if it is not the problem.
