Oven won't heat

Hello,

I have a Whirlpool electric oven Model # RBS245PDQ14 that stopped heating up after I ran the self-clean. The control panel and lights appear fine - just no heat.

I think I blew the thermal fuse, Part Number: AP3133249, that costs only about $9. But, I see there’s different thermal unit out there for simular models for only about $32. I’m not 100% certain which one I need.

Anybody out there had to fix this model?

Thank you.

I looked at the parts breakdown using the given model number and the AP3133249 fuse is not listed for this unit.
Perhaps there has been an update.
All I can suggest is open the unit up and see which one you have and then check it with a meter.

First I would flip the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Also check that the unit is receiving the full 240 volts.
Be careful 240 is lethal!!!

Thank you denman, the service info is great.

I tried the breaker and it was ok. So I’ll take the oven out this weekend and see which fuse it is. I’ll make very sure the power is off!

Thanks again,

Mike
