Whirlpool oven won't heat

I checked some of the other threads and found some similar problems but figured I’d better start my own.

Whirlpool elec wall-oven (RBS245PDB12) will not heat.

*Both the bake and broil elements will not heat at all.
*Front display looks fine. NO ERROR MESSAGES
*Ohm checked both elements and were OK
*Ohm checked temp sensor and it was at 1100 or so

Hit "post" before I was fininshed.

From what I’ve seen here and other places is that this might be a blown thermal fuse. Is that a correct assumption?

The other problem is that I have no clue as to how to check the thermal fuse and/or pull the unit out of the wall.

Anybody with any advice please keep that in mind. I feel no shame in asking somebody to walk me through.

THanks a million in advace.

Most likely the problem is a blown thermal fuse (#37 on the check it for continuity.

Open the door and remove the screw on the bottom of the trim on each side. Pull out the bottom of the trim and slide it down. Remove the screws holding the oven to the cabinet and pull the oven out of the cabinet. You probably need someone to help you. Remove the rear panel, remove one of the wires from the thermal fuse and [URL="http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html).

Gene.

Thanks Gene, I actually replaced the thermal fuse today. Unfortunately I think there is more to it.

Now the oven heats but not above 325 or so. The display constantly shows ‘HEAT’ meaning the oven is still trying to reach the selected temp (375 or whatever).

As I said above I tested the temp sensor earlier and it was OK for continutity.
