How in the heck do you remove the timer from the control panel?
I’ve got the front panel off the washer and the knob off the front and I still can’t figure out how to take the timing unit off to replace it. I know it’s gotta be something totally obvious I’m missing - please help.
Without a brand and model number we have no idea.
Post your info and let’s see what you got.
It’s a Maytag Dependable Care heavy duty washer model LAT8704AAE

The center part of the timer knob is a "plug" just take the tip of a small screwdriver and pop it straight out. Underneath is a clip. Slide it off the shaft. The knob is spring loaded, don’t loose the spring. Pull the pointer straight up and off. Underneath are some screws.
