Safest way to access the belt ?

This is not about my model per se, but about ways to access the bottom of washers

– in context that I’m a newbie with this and that I can’t lift a lot and don’t have any help.

To change the belt, in a video it shows them laying it on the ground.

Some repair folks I called mentioned they tilt it back and then access bottom that way.

I don’t know if back panel can be removed and if so, if it gets to that area.

  1. It seems it could be easier for me to pull it out a bit and
then tilt it back and then forward with it resting on something - that perhaps there would be enough room for me to get under there do replace the belt ?

versus needing to move it out a lot more and then
turn it to the side and then lower it onto the floor.

  1. And if I would need to remove the back, that is a lot of screws and also just removing it, and as a newbie would be concerned I might not get that right in itself.

  2. BUT could the tilting it back cause some strains on some parts of it that might damage them ?

Thanks for your suggestions and comments.

You could probably tilt it back, just make sure your hoses are long enough. If they aren’t then you will need to disconnect them. Make sure and brace the machine so it won’t fall on you.

If you can get the belt cover off you should be able to change it.
