[LEFT][COLOR=#000000]I am looking for an suggestion on my whirlpool washer. I think I am having a problem with my timer. The machine will wash and when the end of the wash agitation it will not go farther. When I then turn the timer knob a extra turn, the machine continues to work. Do I need to replace the timer or is do you have a suggestion?
As was suggested in my previous post I did enter my model number incorrectly. I thought I had entered it correctly, but clearly I did not. Thank you for pointing this out.
The washer runs through wash agitation and stops and does not progress through the rest of the cycle. This happens on any cycle we put it on. It does look like the timer although I still question my conclusion as I read another post where an individual was having a similar problem ( I do not know if this person could get it to start again with a manual turn of the timer. It will then run through the remainder of the cycles) The other individual stated that he replaced the timer and his problem remained. Because a timer is expensive I hesitate to replace the timer and find that it was not the problem. Other posts have suggested the lid switch. All suggestions and direction will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for help.
