We’re trying to replace the timer, we’ve removed the knob but, we are unable to remove the dial timer to replace with new part. Can anyone help me? PLEASE this is getting very frustrating 
Unplug the machine. Loosen or remove the screws at the front bottom corners of the console. The console will then pivot forward, and swing up on hinges to expose the timer. Under the timer knob escuteon are two hex head screws. Remove them, squeeze in on the retainer tabs of the wire connector, and you’re there.

We did most of what you stated but, we are stuck on the timer plate removal, on the timer the knob screws off but, there is a plate under neath that we are not able to get off (not sure how to remove it. We do see the two screws you reference which is under the plate can’t get to them until we remove the plate that is attached to the timer knob. The opening on the plate is too small to access the hex screws. The only way it appears to get to them is on an angle. Are there tabs on the plate?
Was able to finally replace timer, only to find out that this is not the problem. The washer will fill & wash, but stops at the rinse cycle. Not sure what to do next. Any suggestions??
When it gets to the rinse cycle, it completely stops. The water does not drain nor does it spin.
Raise the lid and push in on the lid switch with an appropriately sized tool. You shousd feel and hear a definite "click-click" as you press and release it. If it feels "mushy" you may need a replacement switch. If it clicks, put the machine in "spin" and see if it spins with the switch manually depressed.
Thanks magician59! The lid switch appears to be the problem. I’ve order the part & should receive it in a day or so. I may need your assistance in installing the switch & I appreciate your help!
Replaced the lid switch with no problem. The machine now goes through each cycle with no problems.
