The transmission in this GE washer went bad and sprayed oil all over the place so I am changing transmissions. My problem is: since I have never changed transmission in a GE before I could use A LITTLE TUTORING. I have the unit dissambled down to the outer basket and the transmission. I have removed the tub nut and the split ring and all that seems to be left is the washer and the transmission should drop right out…however I dont know how to get the washer off of the shaft.
Can you guys help.
