I’m attempting to replace a transmission in a GE washer. Is the nut at the end of the shaft a left hand thread? If I cannot get it off, is it possible to remove the inner tub base (AP2047612) to remove the transmission, the nut is starting to strip. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, left hand thread, if you clean off the nut good it should show an arrow pointing right and the word "remove".
