trouble replacing belt GE Electric Dryer

I just replaced the drum bearing and have the dryer back together - except for getting tension on the belt. I have the diagram for GE dryers but no matter what I do I can’t seem to get the tension. Any clues?

Well I figured it out myself. The chart on line here for my type dryer was backwards from the view I was working from. Once I traced the outline to the back of the sheet, flipped it over and then looked at my problem it was less than 10 minutes to fix!

Pull the idler down towards the floor.
Put the belt on the motor pulley.
Then slowly let the idler move and rest on the back of the belt.

The following may help. It is a different model but the idler looks the same.
