dryer belt is too loose

I took the Drum of the dryer out to check the shaft and bearings and now the belt is WAY too loose. Am I putting it on right? Is the pulley in the right place? How do I know? And where on the motor does the belt go? In the grooved area on the end? This is a GE dryer model # dhdsr46ge1ww
