Wash Cycle stops/won't complete

Hi, I am ready to order two parts from you, but I wanted to check first.

Our washer will fill up with water and agitate. Then it will stop in the middle of the wash. Tried to turn the knob/timer to spin or drain cycle, NOTHING. Makes a little sound and that is it. The knob/timer pulls out and goes in, turns only clockwise as normal. Non of the spin or drain cycle works at all.

Is it the "lid switch" or the "timer" (or both)? I am willing to buy both parts if it will fix the problem, but do not want to spend $100 and later have to buy a new washer anyway :slight_smile: Thanks in advanced for your help!

just a thought,if you haven`t cut those wires yet…use a short piece of wire to connect your two lidswitch wires instead of cutting them…
