Hi Steve,
Most likely the problem is a bad bake igniter (#28 on the [AP2014008](http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?diagram_id=458388&&model_id=214196"]break down diagram[/URL]).
- The part number for the bake igniter is [URL="http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/ctrfs.aspx?part_id=2014008&&model_id=214196&diagram_id=458388)

Thanks Gene, The problem is that when I touch bake on the key pad nothing happens. No beep nothing. If I push say broil it will beep and and flash Hi/LO, as well as all the other functions. Two monts ago I replaced the igniter, when that went bad I pushed the bake on the key-pad it beeped and the temp display showed 100 degrees but the it never turned on. Since I replaced it it has been working fine, till now. I have gone as far as replacing the control unit with no luck. I was thinking the only thing left is the key-pad (which is expensive) any thoughts? thanks again

Hi Steve,You are right, the key panel has to be replaced to solve this problem and it is expensive.
- The part number for the key panel is AP2035214

Gere,
Replaced the key panel and we are cooking (baking) with gas. Thanks much for your time and advice.

How do I gain access to the control panel to check the clock wires? Also what does PCBR . BIZ stand for?
Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana range http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?diagram_id=884572&&model_id=8159. I hope it will help you to figure out how to take the control panel apart.
PCBR.BIZ is the URL for the web site of the company which does such job.

This dryer has worked great until last night. There has not been a change of electric or gas supply. The drum works but there is not heat. The dryer is clean and free of lint. What could be causing this, how can this be repaired by do it yourself?
Thank-you
You have to have a simple multimeter to perform the troubleshooting. You can find the complete instructions in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/dryer-repair/4743-no-heat-gas-dryer.html

Before you go crazy, do this first. Unplug the dryer, and take the back panel off, and there will be a white part that is about an inch and a half long, by a half inch wide. That is the thermal fuse. Pull the 2 wires off of it, and put the terminal ends together, and then tape them up, so they do not hit metal, and then plug the dryer in and see if it heats. If it does, DO NOT RUN the dryer that way. That thermal fuse is the only thing stoping the dryer from burning down the house. If it does not work, follow Gene’s advise.
