Washer makes a whiring noise during agitation. The noise is not there during filling, draining, or spinning. Can you tell me what this might be?
Thank you for your reply. I went to the whirlpool site and input the model WT48500. They came up with a parts list for that number but it says Inglis. The washer name says Whirpool. I guess they must be the same. I assume I have a Inglis washer with a Whirpool name on it.
Can you post the link to this web site?
Gene.
Jim,
This is the Canadian model number. That’s why it did not came up on American web sites.
Check for possible foreign objects under the agitator or inside the pump.
If there is nothing wrong, then the problem is the transmission.
Best regards.

The ice was built up bad on the freezer part,so I chiseled it off. (dumb I know) While doing so I poked a hole in the freezer unit causeing the freon to leak out. Does this mean the whole unit is shot or are there seperate lines for the fridg.+ freez.???
I ordered the socket and bulb for my Frigidaire Model # GLEB30T8CBA and put them in. The light comes on when the door opens, however, the light switch button beeps but doesn’t turn the light on. The socket did arc out when I tried to remove the original bulb. Maybe I wired it back wrong when I tried to fix it or maybe I need a new relay board or control panel. If so, what part number do I need to order? I see where there are 2 relay boards that can be ordered. I guess what I really need to know is: Will the light switch button still beep, and will the bulb still work when the door is opened, when the problem is the relay board or control panel?
Which oven did you change the light socket in? Upper or lower?
There is a crack in the water filter cup housing assembly which results in water leaks.
When I replace the housing assembly, should I expect to also have to replace the two elbow water tube connectors that connect the cup housing assembly to the water lines?
Naturally I prefer to avoid paying the extra $17 (cost of two elbow connectors) if it is typically not necessary to replace these elbow connectors, … but alas, … I am by nature lazy and prefer to fix my problem on my first try.
Experienced advice would be greatly appreciated. … & thanks in advance!
Jim
If it’s not your connections it is possible to be your control board.
