Following a power failure with lid left open, the washer started a cycle and filled with water. Placed cloth inside and did a wash aftyer closing lid. After cycle complete with no problems, it started over. I disconnected plug from wall outlet. After reconnecting, washer continued to fill for next wash cycle. I now have the washer disconnected from AC outlet hoping for some help:confused:
Sounds like fused relay contacts. You may need to replace the control assembly. AP3156198

After leaving washer unplugged for over 24 hrs and rotating all knobs before plugging, the washer has been working normal ever since (30+ loads). Maybe I didn’t leave the unit "unplugged" long enough or a sticky knob is to blame. If the event happens again, then I’ll purchase the control assembly.
