Washer will not agitate

[LEFT]My kenmore series 80 washer will fill, spin, and drain fine but will not agitate. Timer moves through the entire cycle as it should but in the areas where the machine should agitate - nothing, not even a motor hum. Any ideas on what to check? :confused: [/LEFT]
