I believe I’m having the same exact problem as this fellow: http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/15982-ge-front-load-washer-wont-start-model-wbvh6240fww.html
I try to turn it on, the display looks like it’s going to work, I try to start it, and I get two beeps. I try to go to the service mode, and I get two beeps again, just like the above person. Everything else seemed normal, so I went and grabbed a replacement control (From APP, the same exact part recommended in the other thread)
According to the service manual here: http://www.applianceblog.com/manuals/GE_Frontload_Washer.pdf when I replace the board, and then plug in and turn on the unit, it should ask me to program it right away. Problem is, it’s not. I try to turn on the unit, and it beeps at me (Just once this time), and I get nothing on the display. I swapped the old bad one back in, and it still gives me the same old double beep error, and then put the new one back in, same new single beeb/no display problem
Did I miss a step? Is there any reason a brand new control board would be showing less signs of life than my bad one? Any suggestions
Thanks in advance!
