Will not run, just 2 beeps

Same problem mejmea posted back in 2008 and I replaced the control panel but still just get 2 beeps, no lights, can’t program the panel, door doesn’t lock. At a lost.
Looking for guidance and possible a wiring diagram with voltage readings to check for. I do have the GE Technical Service Guide. Before replacing the Control Panel Assembly couldn’t get the machine to enter Service Test Mode.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks

GE keeps their technical data in house, so we do not have access to it.

If you have this service manual

http://appliancejunk.com/ge/washer/31-9135.pdf

then that is about all we can do.

Thanks for the reply, I do have that manual and as I mentioned earlier, I replaced the control panel assembly but when I powered the machine up nothing appears on the display.
I’ve taken the water level controller out and tested the switches and it is testing in the ‘Empty’ position, as it should.
I’ve going to put the old control panel assembly back in and see if it powers up as it did before I took it out.
I’m almost to the point of junking it and buying a new one… I would think, but how silly of me, that someone, somewhere has had the same symptoms over the years since this model has been out. I understand there are multiple things that can cause the same symptoms.
So, to recap, the control panel doesn’t seem to be the major factor unless the new one I got is bad, the water level controller seems to be okay. I’m going to attempt to measure some electrical readings based on your previous reply but…
Thanks for all…

I sympathize with you. This model is made by a strong company with a good technology base, and it is expensive so it should be good but from what I have determined it is pure junk. I hate to say scrap it, but in the ong run that may be your best move, and if so replace it with a nice, no frills top loader that does not have any electronics, for reasons you are now only too familiar with.
