Washer will spin but won't agitate

Washer will fill but won’t agitate lid switch is good but it will not agitate timer is good and motor is good what could be the problem seems as if maybe the spring is bad around the transmission how do you repair this

How did you know that the motor is good? Does it run?

Does the washer spin and/or drain?

The model number you posted is incorrect. The closest model number I found is [MODEL]WPSQ4160T9AA[/MODEL].

washer spins and drains tested the motor using a home made motor tester its good while testing it i notice that the transmission has no resistance when you turn it to the left counter clockwise but there is resistance when turning it to the right clockwise it seems as through the spring is broken and is causing it not to agitate which direction does the motor turn to cause the agitator to agitate?

The motor and drive pulley turn CCW (looking from bottom) for agitate. The spring on the bottom of the transmission is for spin mode which you say is working. It has no function during agitate, the pulley hub just rotates freely within the spring. If the drive pulley is rotating during agitate mode but agitator is not working, then you need to pull the agitator and remove the agitator bell coupling to inspect for worn splines. To pull the agitator, place a flat strap under the agitator near to center as possible and pull forcefully. Watch out it doesn’t pop up into your face. Then remove the bell coupling bolt to remove the coupling. If the splines aren’t worn out inside the coupling, observe the splined transmission shaft while in agitate. If that drive pulley is rotating and the splined shaft isn’t going back and forth, your transmission is bad.
