Washer won't spin/drain

The water from the washing cicle remains in the tub. I can hear the timer and see it moving to the end. If I drain it manualy by lowering the hose to the floor, the spin cicle workes fine. I had a similar problem 18 months ago and found out that it was the pump. I replaced it, and it worked fine till a few days ago. I bought another pump and the problem remains the same. Any suggestions?

Thanks for responding AJ. If the switch works during the wash cycle, can it still be responsible for not working the drain? What do I look for to see if is defective?
