I think I may have a bad thrust washer for the top half of the agitator. I bought this washer used. I replaced the agitator dogs, because they were worn down to nothing, and now the top half of the agitator makes a sound and the top agitator will stop for a split second. I will open the lid slightly and the top agitator is moving good then the sound, it stops for a very small fraction of a second and then the agitator starts moving rapidly again. I have a feeling it is the thrust washer. Will a bad thrust washer cause the agitator dogs to slip? I looked at all the parts and all looks well I just do not want to start replacing parts for no reason. Any ideas?
I did some research and it is recommended to use some grease on top of the thrust washer. Use a bit of silicon grease and now it is perfect. No noise what so ever.
