I set the timer to Lightwash and Rinse to check my dishwasher and found it would not spray and would not drain water. I removed the Toe and Access panels and saw the motor was trying to spin at certain phases as the timer moved throgh. But the motor stopped spinning right after.
I removed the 4 wire power supply connector from the motor, there were four metal pin in the connector housing on the motor. The motor’s coils could be wired to the four pins, and I checked the coils’ resistance. Also I removed the pump/motor assembly from the dishwasher, the pipes and the pump were very clean. If I assume the pump is OK. The motor or/and the electronic control circuit for the motor can be faulty. Is there a simple way to test the motor after being removed from the dishwasher?
Will the digital multi-meter motor coils’ resistance readings be useful info? Any advice for further debugging? Thans.
