This dryer squeals like the proverbial stuck pig. I replaced a very worn front felt seal, to no avail. I pulled the idler pulley because it would not spin freely. Cleaned with wd40 and put it back together. Still squeals. The only other thing I am finding anything unusual with is the drive motor spins, buts sounds like its rubbing a little. On what I don’t know. It does spin, but not quietly.
Recently changed my car and truck serpentine belt because of squealing, but I have already dropped 60 bucks on that seal and failed to fix it, so I’m hesitant to start throwing more money after it unless I know with reasonable certainty that my next purchase is the fix.
Reading through some search results I am leaning toward two rear support rollers, a new idler, a new belt, or some combination of those items. Any and all help or suggestions is appreciated.
